A radically different version of Survivor is upon us. RHAP blogger Sarah Freeman explores how the players are defining the rules of this new concept.
Welcome to WWE, Survivor style! I will be your host, Scottie the Body taking you through the first episode of Survivor. Fresh off the worst season of Big Brother in ten years, I’m excited for the Start of the Survivor season and I think the first episode did not disappoint.
As Jeff described the season’s premise, we saw a few pairs of players as they were being brought to their respective destinations. Aras and Vytas, Brad and Monica, Tyson and Rachel, Kat and Hayden were the first four pair shown while Rupert and Laura were on screen when Jeff told us what the players didn’t know, that they would be playing against each other.
There are enough new twists in Survivor: Blood Vs. Water to blindside M. Night Shyamalan. From the return of Redemption Island (albeit with some game-altering new rules) to the season's primary directive of pitting veteran players against their family members, the new season of Survivor is almost unrecognizable to longtime fans of the show — for better and for worse, according to RHAP's Survivor blogger bullpen.
