Survivor: Ghost Island Week 3 Power Rankings
I’m not off to the greatest start this season with these ol’ predictions. I’ll blame it on the fact that there are approximately 37 reality shows all airing at once right now. Survivor, Challenge, Big Brother, Drag Race, Bachelor, Idol, etc. etc. etc. I go to sleep at night hoping Shangela doesn’t vote to evict Cara Maria if Domenick pulls out his immunity idol when Arie gives his final rose to Paras. I know, I need so much help.
I had Brendan pegged as pretty safe last week until that came crashing down right in my face. I thought the play from Michael was about as well executed as it could get. That four really got screwed by the Ghost Island exile (Kellyn this week) coming back in time for the vote, which hadn’t been a thing up until this point. Oh well. We’ll be down to 15 after this week’s tribal council, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another swap into 3 tribes to keep things interesting.
I’ve got another great guest with me this week. Taking a small break from the Big Brother Canada 6 coverage, it’s the peace keeper of the LFC, Melissa Deni! Melissa is holding it down in her Survivor draft with the other LFC members, with up-and-coming strategic queens Desiree and Chelsea headlining her team also including Wendell, Bradley, Jenna, and the now-departed Brendan. If you missed that draft, it’s not too late to check it out (here), and make sure you’ve been plugged into all of the BBCAN6 content if you’re following the season. I’m thrilled we finally got to see Laurel explain where her head’s at. Her options are wide open, with everybody on her tribe looking to work with her. Should be smooth sailing for a bit.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
1. Laurel
Laurel had a great episode this week. She got to tell some of her story, she played a major role in determining the direction of her tribe, and she made some new allies. I’m excited to see where this takes her next week.

Still working with the Malolos, Donathan has nothing to worry about until the game next shakes up. The farther we get, the less of a target he’s seen as and the more dangerous he becomes.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
2. Kellyn
Kellyn made the correct, albeit totally boring, choice on Ghost Island when she decided not to rock the boat and keep the numbers the same. She’s in the majority and while she’s not blending into the woodwork by any means, she’s also not sticking out like a sore thumb like Bradley. Also, people don’t hate her… unlike Bradley.

[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Having the Survivor gods already going against your wishes isn’t a great sign! Kellyn has her group of five who proved last week is a strong voting block and that should keep her safe for now. I was initially a little annoyed when she didn’t play the game, but it’s pretty clear she made the right call.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
3. James
James had a good week last week and stayed pretty far under the radar this week, which really isn’t a bad thing in his case!
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Tempted to rank this guy at the bottom simply because he didn’t talk about candy this week… which means his storyline is obviously over and he’s the next to go.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
4. Libby
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
We didn’t hear much from James this week, but I think it’s fair to assume he and Laurel are still super tight. For his sake I hope so, because I do think Laurel is in the best position on their tribe at the moment.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
5. Donathan
Laurel and Donathan were the determining factors in siding with Wendell and Domenick, which I think was a smart move. If he and Laurel can stay strong, I can see them going really far as a pair.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
A quiet week for Libby too. I don’t remember one instance of seeing her in the episode, but since her alliance is still in control, I’m not worried.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
6. Wendell
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Oooof. Desiree finally gets to a Tribal and still barely gets to talk? She was obviously in with the group’s planning/decision making. She was the one we first saw throwing out Brendan’s name. I still need more from Desiree to know where her game is heading, but right now she’s looking safe.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
7. Chelsea
She speaks!! Finally! And not only does she speak, but she actually has good things to say! I was impressed with her call to target the males in the minority alliance because, she was right, they didn’t see it coming.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Lucky you! Michael had a 25% chance of playing his idol correctly and sending Bradley straight to the pre-jury trip. It didn’t happen, which means Bradley and his group of 5 still have the majority and they do look tight. Looks like we’ve got a new villain in town… none other than Captain Complainer. (Or how about Babysitter Bradley?)
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
8. Sea Bass
He’s in the majority, but I can definitely see him being taken out Ozzy/Malcom style in the coming weeks.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
It’s hard to tell if Wendell is in any immediate danger. Laurel sounds like she wants to move forward with him and Domenick though, so that’s obviously a good sign.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
9. Domenick
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
The preview for next week is Jenna’s biggest selling point right now. If she’s about to link up with one of the core members of the majority alliance (the candyman himself), she’s got way more of an in than either Stephanie or Michael.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
10. Stephanie
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
SHE SPOKE! WORDS!! “I’m sitting” would’ve been enough for me…. but then a whole confessional?! I’m so proud. I mean, she literally told us her group’s plan, which was then executed perfectly. Chelsea, a strategic legend in the making.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
11. Michael
LOVED the attempt this week. If only it worked! I wish I could rank him higher, but I’m really nervous for him moving forward because not only is he a stand out physical threat, he’s a strategic threat as well.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Just a little bit of hope (driskill) goes a long way. Seems like the Jenna/Sebastian connection gets rolling next week. If Sea Bass doesn’t mind a third wheel, maybe he spares Steph for another vote. If I was a casual, I’d feel like I’m supposed to be rooting for her, so I don’t think she’s being ripped away from us just yet?
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
12. Bradley
Might seem crazy that I’m ranking the leader of the majority alliance allllll the way down here, but he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way this week and if anyone decides to jump ship, he’s doomed.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Just like previous weeks, I’m worried Domenick may be giving up too much information. As I’ve mentioned, Laurel does seem interested in working with him over Chris. I just struggle to place Domenick very high because I think if one Jenga piece gets pulled out the wrong way, his game will come crumbling down.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
13. Desiree
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Not many people need a new swap as bad as Angela. I was hoping she would ditch Chris after he got back from Ghost Island, but I don’t think she plans on doing so.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
14. Jenna
She’s in the minority alliance and we’re barely hearing from her, does not bode well moving forward.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
Very impressed by your work this week! The obvious problem… it didn’t work. You lost your #1 ally, you have a big target on your back, and now you’re really down in numbers. Either go find James’ other idol, or dig deep and ensure your tribe wins immunity.
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
15. Chris
Uh oh, this is baaaad. I don’t really see how he’s gonna get out of this one.
[/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half]
I’m not sure how much longer we can keep up the Chris and Dom storyline, so it has to be coming to an end soon, right? I’ve been waiting for Chris to reach peak Drew Christy, but he’s already passed Drew’s episode count, so maybe Chris is in fact going to reverse the curse of the Drew Christy game? Nah…
[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 20px 0 20px”][one_half_last]
16. Angela
It’s not looking good for Angela. She was viewed as disposable last week and is essentially Chris’s loyal henchman, not a good position to be in.
