Winner of Survivor: Vanuatu (Season 9): Chris Daugherty
Chris Daugherty was named the winner of Survivor: Vanuatu (also known as Survivor: Vanuatu — Islands of Fire) (Season 9) during the finale on December 12, 2004. He defeated runner-up Twila Tanner by a vote of 5-2. At the time of his win, Chris was a 33-year-old highway construction worker from South Vienna, Ohio. Chris nearly was the first boot of his season and was the last man standing against an alliance of women on day 27, but his tenacity and manipulation, paired with a terrific Final Tribal Council performance, led to him claiming the victory.
