Winner of Survivor: Gabon (Season 17): Bob Crowley
Bob Crowley was named the winner of Survivor: Gabon (Season 17) during the finale on December 14, 2008. He defeated runners-up Susie Smith and Sugar Kiper by a vote of 4-3-0. At the time of his win, Bob was a 57-year-old physics teacher from Portland, Maine. Bob played a very subtle game, made two great fake Hidden Immunity Idols, developed strong relationships and won numerous challenges, which put together, earned him the victory. Bob is the oldest player to win Survivor at 57.
