Exit Interview with Survivor Jessica “Figgy” Figueroa, the Latest Player Who Got Voted Off Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X.
Adam’s Move
In this week’s Exit Interview, Rob spoke with Jessica “Figgy” Figueora who had a laid back attitude to say the least. Rob asked Jessica if she knew this move from Adam Klein was coming and Jessica said she suspected that Adam would flip. Jessica mentioned how Taylor Lee Stocker was completely oblivious to Adam’s strong play. Fearing her impending demise, Jessica felt that she needed to take the initiative and give Adam a false sense of security. Jessica was hopeful when Adam said that Ken McNickel was his target, but she still had a strong feeling that Adam would be targeting her.
Ken and Jessica Alliance
Rob later asked if she talked to Ken and Jessica Lewis about getting rid of Adam, to which Figgy admitted she did. However, the mistrust that Figgy had with Jessica and Ken made her hesitant with the plan. Figgy had the idea of keeping another couple in the game and get rid of the two who Figgy considered the strategists. However, Jessica realized she needed a new plan when Ken lied to her face and she decided to try her luck with Adam.
Thoughts on Ken
When asked about her thoughts on Ken, Jessica said that he’s a more mature version of Taylor. Figgy elaborated that believed that Ken is wiser and saw that it as a good quality to have. She thought it was a shame that she couldn’t have formed a small alliance with him.
Why Not Taylor?
Between Taylor and herself, Rob wondered why Taylor wasn’t voted out. Jessica explained that she had all of the control between the plan, making her the mastermind. Jessica explained that Taylor was just following her orders, while she was being the strategist. Jessica knew that Adam figured out that she was mastermind of the pair and Jessica mentioned how she was a physical threat as well. With Jessica having brawn and brains, she felt that she was more of a threat than Taylor was.
Figgy’s Vote
Rob asked Figgy why she decided to vote out Ken instead of Jessica, Figgy replied that she originally wanted to vote out Jessica. Figgy said that she didn’t like Jessica at all, but she had no choice to vote out Ken when Adam said that he intended to vote out Ken. Figgy knew she had to take a risk and trust Adam because she viewed Jessica and Ken as untrustworthy.
Adam’s Idol
Jessica said she had no idea that Adam had the idol. Although Jessica did speculate that Adam had found the idol, she originally wrote her speculations off as paranoia. However, Jessica did notice that Adam would frequently search for it and would always be suspicious. She even went as far as peaking in his bag to see if he had the idol. However, she didn’t find anything in his bag and wishes he would’ve used the idol to save her.
Coming Clean
At first, Jessica made it an effort to keep her relationship with Taylor under wraps. However, Jessica said that Taylor couldn’t contain his feelings for her as the couple progressed in the competition. Jessica noted how it was becoming more difficult because of her intent on winning the game and his lack of intent to win. Jessica realized that it was only a matter of time that their relationship would be revealed eventually, so she decided to take the initiative of revealing the relationship.
The Status of the Relationship
When Rob asked if the relationship between her and Taylor is going well, Jessica asked him to guess on their status. Rob originally thought yes, but noted how her tone wasn’t convincing him that they were still in a relationship. Jessica sadly confirmed that the relationship had ended, noting that life on the island was different from what it is now. Also due to other complications, Jessica said it was in both of their interests to no longer be in a relationship. Jessica reassured Rob that she is happy and confident she made the right choice.
Michaela’s Feud
When asked to elaborate on her feud with Michaela Bradshaw, Jessica talked about how she was trying to impose her will with her alliance. Jessica knew she was going to start an alliance with Taylor, Justin “Jay” Starrett and Michelle Schubert but didn’t plan for Michaela to be apart of it. Jessica spoke on how Michaela seemed to bring negative energy towards the group and how the alliance threw her name out for people they could possibly vote out. Word of that reached Michaela and knew that it would cause tension.
Going Against Justin
Did Jessica try to get Justin voted out during the Mari Takahashi vote? Jessica laughed off the question and was amazed about how that false information spread. Jessica said she heard a rumor that Justin was targeting her from Will Wahl. Mari approached her and asked to work with her, to which Jessica agreed in order to protect herself. Jessica later made up with Justin, realizing that it wasn’t worth holding a grudge over.
Being Called Out
Jessica mentioned how she was elated about Ciandre “CeCe” being voted out before being called out by Jeff Probst during the rewards challenge. Jessica admitted that she wasn’t thinking about what she was saying because she was focused on Michelle. Overall, Jessica believes that clip was made out to be a lot more than what it was. Later on, Rob takes on Jordan Kalish for another week of “This Week in Survivor History Quiz Show.”
