The action really heated up this week on Survivor: One World when the men went to their first tribal council. For Rob Cesternino and Nicole, Who better to talk to than two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine (Survivor: Pearl Islands, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains) and Coby Arch from Survivor: Pulau who was a unique perspective on Colton Cumbie.
Rob starts off by asking Sandra and Coby about where Matt Quinlan went wrong in his game on Survivor: One World. What things did Matt do wrong to make him the first person voted out by the men.
We spend a lot of time discussing the latest episode and the overall game for Colton Cumbie. Coby gives his opinion of what he makes of Colton. Sandra doesn’t believe that Colton is going to be destined to win Survivor: One World either.
We discuss the dynamics going on between the women and the men and who has the moral high ground in this ongoing struggle. Sandra and Coby agreed with Rob that the men have been quite generous with giving fire to the women, while Nicole thinks that the men have not been generous enough.
Following Jay and Matt interrupting the strategy conversation being had by the men, Rob asks Sandra and Coby if they ever had similar experiences – either as the people strategizing or the people being strategized about.
Plus, Coby and Sandra answer a number of your questions from Facebook, play a round of Ding-Marry-Kill and answer the question as to whether Sandra would ever play a season of Survivor with the theme Sandra vs. Russell Hantz.
Later, we discuss some of the aftershocks from Colton’s comments to Bill Posley that Bill should just “kill himself” and that he is “ghetto trash”. We discuss the responses from Francesa Hogi and Eliza on twitter and read back some of Colton’s responses to the backlash.
