Recap of Survivor San Juan Del Sur Episode 8, “Wrinkle in the Plan” in which Josh Canfield is voted out and becomes the first member of the jury on November 12, 2014
Wow! The Know It Alls are stunned tonight after Josh Canfield was eliminated from the game, becoming the first member of the Survivor San Juan Del Sur jury. Stephen is devastated, mostly because Josh’s elimination proves him terribly wrong about the narrative the season has been building toward all season.
Rob wants to start with a run down of the big moments of tonight’s episode and ask Stephen whether or not they’re a real thing to be concerned about. These issues include the “boys club” mentality that threatened to divide Jaclyn and Jon – Stephen thought this was a real issue that was rooted in legitimate concerns on Jaclyn’s parts, and while it was not based entirely on the burping and farting from the tribe’s men, Stephen acknowledges that it certainly didn’t help how she felt. Rob felt it was a little ridiculous that these trivial, immature issues were still coming up in the twenty-ninth season of this show.
Also discussed is the future of the group consisting of Reed (Josh’s boyfriend and Rob’s pre-season winner pick), Jeremy, Wes and Keith now that their de facto leader and best strategist is out of the game. The Know It Alls believe that some of these guys jumping ship on the minority alliance has now moved from if to when, so they try to determine whether Jon and Jaclyn will remain the power couple or if dark horse Missy could drive her and Baylor to the top of the food chain.
To #RHAP up the show as always, Rob and Stephen take your questions: was tonight the night we will look back and see that Reed’s winner edit first reared its head? Who should really be on Jon and Jaclyn’s radar going forward? Are Jon and Jaclyn getting more gratuitous strategy scenes per episode than J.T. and Stephen in Survivor Taco Teens (#tacooverload)? And how do the Survivors go poop? The answer to these questions and more on Survivor Know It Alls!
