Jeff Pitman from True Dork Times is a well established expert when it comes to talking Survivor but he is also one of world’s foremost experts on “Game Of Thrones”. Season 2 of Game of Thrones returns to HBO on Sunday, April 1st for the follow-up season of the show based on the George R. R. Martin novels.
First we start off talking about what’s in store over the next couple of weeks on Survivor: One World. We try to figure out how the alliances will shake out. Rob and Jeff both seem to think that the new Salani tribe, led by Sabrinia Thompson, Kim Spradlin and Chelsea Meissner will continue working with Troyzan and Jay Byars. If this happens, Rob and Jeff wonder what will happen to Jonas Otsuji since he could be a very strong player if the chip fall right. This week, Rob and Jeff both are worried that Tarzan could be on the chopping block.
Turning to Game of Thrones, we begin comparing the Game of Thrones character to the various players over the course of Survivor. Rob and Jeff run through all of your Game of Thrones favorites including Eddard Stark (Ned Stark), King Robert Baratheon, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Prince Viserys Targaryen, Princess Daenerys Targaryen, Prince Joffrey Baratheon and even Khal Drogo.
Jeff also takes us through some of the differences between season one of the show and the novels from George R. R. Martin. We also reverse the exercise to determine which of the Game of Thrones characters might be best players from Survivor. Which of the current Survivors might be best suited to sit on the Iron Throne of Westeros.
