Community Guidelines

RHAP is a community comprising people from all over the world, from different walks of life, coming together to celebrate and enjoy entertainment and television.  From our podcasters, to our listeners, to those we watch on TV, we are a group like no other!  Like anything, as time has gone on, the nature of the podcast as well as the community built around it has changed. These guidelines are in place to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of not only our podcasters, and guests, but our listeners as well.

What is RHAP?

RHAP is a community comprising people from all over the world, from different walks of life, coming together to celebrate and enjoy entertainment and television.  From our podcasters, to our listeners, to those we watch on TV, we are a group like no other!

Why do we need community standards?

We strive to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone that has any interaction with RHAP In order to do this we are establishing standards of interaction that we will hold not only ourselves accountable to but our community to help create a hostile free, and ultimately positive environment.

What are our basic standards?

Our standards are simple and represent the values that RHAP holds as an organization and should be followed in all interactions by all members of the RHAP community:

  1. Be Respectful. We believe in promoting behavior in a way that does not offend, intimidate, degrade, insult, or humiliate others.
  2. Be Kind. We are polite and friendly in all forms of communication – especially remote communication, where opportunities for misunderstanding are greater.
  3. Be Open. We will listen with an open mind and do better. We will continue to welcome open discussion and change for the better.  Feedback is natural and important. Constructive feedback is kind, respectful, clear, constructive, and focused on goals and values rather than personal preferences. We will give and receive feedback with gratitude for the shared goal of advancing the RHAP community.
  4. Be Inclusive. We continue to strive to be an inclusive community, and be respectful of everyone regardless of differences or points of view.

Who does this apply to?

These standards apply to interactions in our shared professional lives. All contributors, guests, interactions on other podcast platforms, social media, or other locations/events where we represent RHAP are covered in this.

What we don’t represent

We are committed to providing a welcoming and safe environment for all. Discrimination and harassment are expressly prohibited. This includes any behavior or language that is unwelcoming—whether or not it rises to the level of harassment.
