Hi Rob. After reading how much Dalton Ross doesn’t like RI, it got me thinking. I’ve enjoyed it so far and think it should become a staple of the show from this point on. BUT, only if they end it at the merge each season. DR pointed out that it kind of takes away the drama of the “Vote Out” at the end of the show, which is true right now. But, once the person at RI comes back all will be dramatic again IMO.

I feel like RI gives those players that get voted out quickly a chance to shine that they don’t normally get AND it gives the viewer a chance to get to know them more. Plus, Matt has proven that you can make a name for yourself on RI. I would actually be fine with Probst tellling the Tribes when RI will end each season too, which will just create more strategy.

Your thoughts? Can you address this on the ‘Cast? Seems like a worthy topic to this guy lol

Rob, I have to thank you. Although you didn’t do it in a rude, or even intentional, fashion you really made this silly girl look a fool.

She claims that their elimination of Russell was “not playing the game.” That their elimination of her and Steph was “not playing the game.” I bet she wouldn’t be saying that if she had been on their side in the first place. Although they didn’t realize that they had said it, Krista and Stephanie told Rob and Grant at RI that they would jump at the merge. Clearly the Zap 6 perceived that and wanted to nip it in the bud before it happened. That IS playing the game, and playing it quite well!

Krista and Stephanie did nothing to prove their trustworthiness, even in confessionals, where they constantly whined about having to pretend to like the rest of the tribe. Maybe instead of pretending to like them you should, you know, get to know them on a personal level and realize that they’re probably very nice people? Instead, they came across as very disingenuous and I see no reason why ANYONE would wanna keep that around. Krista and Stephanie (and Probst and Dalton Ross for that matter) really need to peel their lips away from Hantz’ ample backside.

I really liked this episode.. Im glad Krista is gone and Steph might be gone next with the edit Matt’s getting =[[

any updates on the Parvati podcast? and can you guys try getting some older survivors (Borneo-Guatemala) hopefully you can!

I’ll go on record and say that he will… then again, I thought Russell would too. I do think Boston Rob can handle the heat.

rob, i don’t see why you draw such a strong distinction between Russell 1.0 and Russell 2.0. Krista is correct. In HvV he remained perfectly loyal to both Parvati AND Danielle UNTIL he learned that they had concealed Parvati’s idol from him. He was loyal to them until they stopped being loyal to him.

The difference in the two seasons was that Parv and DoubleD wouldnt follow Russell like a drooling horde of mindless zombies. His loyalty to the Russ-ettes in Samoa was predicated on their acceptance of the the hierarchy he established. If Natalie, Mick and Jaison had started keeping secrets from him and appeared to keep their options open for alternative ways to the end, Russell wouldnt have been so loyal to them either.

i definitely see your point Rob, HOWEVER… where loyalty is shown, loyalty is given…. he was not given a reason to turn on his alliance in Samoa….. he was however given a reason to turn on his alliance in HvV…. Danielle and Parv had seperate plans behind his back that didn’t include him and he made the same move that they would’ve against him… he just beat them to it.

I believe 100% that if Parv and Danielle don’t keep that secret from Russell, they would’ve been in the final 3 together…. to that point, Russell had shared everything with them, including handing over 2 of his idols when his neck was on the line. It was bad gameplay on Parv’s (and Danielles) part to keep that idol secret from him… it broke the trust, fractured the alliance, and cost her another million (cuz i gotta believe if the final 3 were Russell, Parv, and Danielle… Parvati wins).

You forget that he expected Sandra to tell him she had an idol. Sandra wasn’t in his alliance, had never been in his alliance… so why does Russell think she was supposed to tell him?

There wasn’t a betrayal when he dropped Danielle, it was pure male ego going on there. He panicked simply because he has to be top dog and he thought Danielle was more loyal to Parvati than him, and possibly, Parvati to Danielle. I do not believe Russell would have taken Danielle to the end under any circumstance, he thought he needed Sandra at the end. If that weren’t the case, he would have voted out Sandra (never his alliance) and kept Jerri (loyal in his alliance after BRob went home)

Krista… keep it real girl. There’s no need to become fictional about Ressel and your alliance with him.

You played a terrible game based upon bad decisions and made one of the most basic errors playing Survivor; You put the big target on your own back.
