I agree with that to some extent, but have some reservations since she so blithely dismissed the concept of aligning with Andrea both when Steve suggested they take out Rob and later when Andrea came back from RI.  It made so much more sense for the women to take each other on head to head than for any of them to be battling against Rob & Grant late in the game, both in challenges and for jury votes.

very nice analysis. the way rob had his tentacles into everyone, i would think it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for ashley to rally a three person alliance to get rid of rob and to do so without tipping off rob to play his idol. in that 5 person alliance, natalie proved her loyalities lie with rob and not ash. so ash, just like the edits showed, was on the bottom of the alliance after andrea left and she didn’t even know it.  

the key to your plan was a flip by nat or phillip to make the ash/grant pact work. i definitely agree that if ashley was able to flip either of those two; she could have taken control of the game with grant. flipping nat/phillip just seemed like too much of a impossibility. once again, credit to rob.

my whole redemption dream scenario was for boston rob to offer his head to the chopping block that night and give grant the immunity.perhaps, rob should have told his tribe to boot him off before andrea, thereby sparing him the stigma of orchestrating all the blindsides. previously, a returning player found it impossible to win or at the very least get to the finals. rob needed to take the hardest road imaginable to win this game and that was by literally coming back from death itself through the redemption island twist. i was thinking this was the only way anyone would vote for rob if he got to the finals. rob proved me wrong. well played boston rob.
