If Russell didnt play his HII or if he didnt have it then he would definitely be going home.
Had he switched it then it would have been 4-5 Parvati goes home whether or not Russell has HII or not.
He was trying to save Russell because he didnt think he was at risk. Still a bad move overall obviously but not the dumbest in survivor history.

First off, I was not a fan of Natalie, even though we share a name but after hearing her on this podcast my mind has been changed. I never thought she deserved to win, but now I see why she did. I had no idea she was pushing him to take her because she “thought” they would not vote for her to win. That was smart on her part. Good job with getting her on the show! I loved hearing from her 100% more than I thought I would.
I especially liked hearing her talk highly of Mick because I always thought..how did he get there..but hearing those little inside tidbits makes it more clear.

I think a reason I did not like all stars that much and Kathy touched on it, was how you could see the 'pecking order' and who was going out next. Without ever reading a spoiler I knew who was being voted out next. But this season there was so much game play/twists/switching/crazy moves that the excitment was on going and throughout the entire season.
I liked the inside with Boston Rob, I had no idea he was pre-med!

I think Parv will not win but just because she is tied too closely to Russell. I feel like people may not respect her gameplay as much because she has been tied to him the entire game unlike Sandra. I DO think if Parv or Sandra won I would be happy with the outcome because they both played a great game but just the fact looking at the jury, I think Sandra has it.

For that viewers comment about Sandra and the order:
I feel that she did save herself with that coach lie more than people realize. The order was SUPOSSED to be, Courtney, Sandra to be voted out. Because she got Coach voted out that saved her so it went Couch, Courtney. Which insured she made it to the merge. What if Coach did make it to the merge and then him and JT hooked up again, the whole game could have changed.

Also on her season she did more than people give her credit for. Remember the throwing out of the fish which she blamed on someone else and got them voted off because of it.

Talking about the fan player of the season. JT won the game and the fan player award. Bob from Ga-boner also won both fan favorite and the prize. I think..that is the only two.

Good season and when you interview some HvV players I ALWAYS like hearing who they still talk too/are friends with so maybe you could squeeze that in there.

Erik- I voted for James before I listened to the interview and that is BECAUSE I think he should have used the imminity idol! He had 2…and I think it was only 3 challenges left for him to be able to use them before final 4. The chances of him winning another immunity challange was pretty high so why not use it.
After hearing the Erik interview I do see his point and think he made the dumbest move. He should never have given that idol away, he was safe. He was winning immunity after immunity (I think..him and Jason that kept winning.)
I DO NOT think JT should win it. He did something he thought would further his game + his tribes game. Russell was playing it up “yeah all girls” thing going on at villians tribe. I wonder why JT never looked at Coach and tried to secretly ask if it was an all girls thing, because I don't think Coach would have been putting on a show for JT.

Rob would have won had he taken Jenna Lewis, Shii Ann stated at the reunion that she would have voted for Rob. I also agree that Boston Rob would have made it deep into the game had he won. Sandra may have betrayed him eventually but can you imagine Coach or Courtney doing so? Tyson already said he was planning to screw over Jerri and Coach once the Heroes were taken out. Tyson's boot was probably the turning point in this season.

It was a huge move for her to get Coach off both for herself and the Villains. Had Coach and Courtney's boots been reversed, JT most likely would have given the idol to Coach instead. Coach could have possibly viewed this as honorable and sided with JT. Got Sandra to the merge where she was no longer a threat, and kept the Villains intact.

Yeah it wasn't fair for me to lump Boston Rob in with Russell. Since that season was so long ago I had forgotten how close the vote was and could only clearly remember the Lex incident. I would still say he did not play a great numbers game with the jury (he knew when he burnt lex that could effect big tom's vote as well) which along with picking Amber over Jenna led to his loss. I remember after the Lex boot that season thinking Rob was setting himself up for 2nd to Amber which I guess is similar to how I felt last season about Russell and Natalie. But there were different factors in both those incidents. Russell was much worse with understanding the Jury than Boston Rob.

That is pretty speculative… Anyway then it wouldn't have looked like an all-girl alliance for courtney to go before coach. I think the Sandra “switching the boot order” was pretty unimpressive and more a result of editing than of real amazing gameplay.
Sandra is proof that this game is ultimately more social than physical OR mental (especially with top 3's now instead of top 2's). She sucks at challenges and makes poor alliances and strategic decisions yet her social game turns those weaknesses into strengths. It is as Porkstorekiller said before about how she is essentially rewarded for her weak strategic and physical skills.

I'm not sure about immunity but I do remember him winning a couple of rewards in China.

I have to be impressed with Sandra. She is just so BLUNT. How can someone be soooo blunt and “loud” about their opinion and still make it to the end. She did the same thing in her other season.

She did try to make moves they just never worked out. I think for sure I would pick her over Jerri just because she actually tried to do stuff, tried to make moves. Isn't it better to at least try to shake things up than sit back and not do anything to change the game (Jerri).

I've said this before but her not telling anyone she had the hidden immunity idol was key also. Rupert would have gone home that night if the other villians knew she had it. From my point of view I feel like because of her, Rupert was safe. What if he got kicked out and then Candice would not have gone home. Who knows what would have happened next.

To me that shows mental game play. She knew very well that they were splitting the votes because Rupert could have the HII when she had it all along.

Yes she sucks at challenges but many players do. Realistically it is not a tribe full of physically equipped people. Look at Courtney and she made it to the finals in China. Lil in Pearl Islands who actually won the last immunity challenge was not so hot in any challenges. Even Earl kept loosing to Yau Man in challenges.

Guatemala was before Cook Islands. I haven't seen the season so I wouldn't know for sure and trust me Rob wouldn't remember small details like that xD.

Watch deleted scenes. Had Parvati lost immunity she would have been gone. You gotta remember that recently Russell has been the one pressing the issue with Rupert and Colby. I'm sure they didn't trust him fully but he was their only option.

Oh I agree. You don't need a mental or physical game to win ultimately you only really need the right kind of social game and a little luck. I am not knocking her really, if you make it to the end two times then you have to be doing something right. Apparently she is useful around camp, non-threatening, and endearing enough to keep herself off the chopping block.
It makes me actually like Coach a little more to think that weakness is a virtue in survivor… “Let's Get Rid of the Weak Players Before We Even Start” is the name of episode 1 of Tocantins and it may become a good strategy in the future games.

I disagree. You can tell the ones that are true friends of Robs (i.e. Jenna Morasca, KVOB, Lex, Fairplay), they feel more as ease with him and get his sense of humor.

The ones that are more like acquaintances (Natalie, Yau-Man, Eliza) are a little more formal.

With only 6 players, he was almost chopped out of the episode last night.
At Tribal Council he was sitting on the very edge of the group, away from everyone else, and not even really facing the camera. Just his head in his hands looking bored. And most of the time, the camera just chopped him out of the scene.

Even in the episode it looked like there were only 5 people in the game.

Something's up. I reckon he tried to quit but was ordered to stick it out, and so he's decided to just not play or co-operate with the cameramen.

Yep, I only had one direct interaction with Russell, but the fight between me and Boo and some of the Russell zealots that followed wound up being pretty nasty. Stephen had to delete the whole exchange.

I do expect there will be a round 2 to this fight somewhere. And I promise not to let my intellectual vanity get in the way next time. Sorry about that. :)
