You nailed it again. Natalie’s purpose in the game was to save Boston Rob having to get up twice to vote at Tribal Council. She was 19 not 9 so I don’t cut her much slack. My trifecta of incompetance, don’t think, don’t have an opinion & do what you’re told pretty much sums up her game ( if I can give her that much credit) & right now I am wondering was she even on Survivor? Not that memorable I guess-Mike

I keep wondering if Ashley has ever wished she wouldn’t have blown Andrea off so completely at final 5, since if they’d formed a female alliance and knocked out Phillip it would have guaranteed Ashley a Final 3 spot.  She mistakenly thought Rob would give that to her anyway, but having a back-up plan is always wise… ESPECIALLY on Survivor.

Change the dynamics of that last day and you might have Rob sweating it a bit more and Ashley or Andrea might have surged through to win that final challenge to send all 3 girls into the finals.  Rob felt confident that Ashley would take him to Final 3 even if she won the last challenge given the final 4 we saw.  He would have realized he might not be a sure thing after all if the girls had voted out Phillip and Andrea was there as another strong competitor in the last challenge.

It would have been even better if Ashley & Natalie had voted out Rob the night they voted out Grant.  While there is the possibility that Rob may have then won his way back from RI, to have blindsided Rob with an idol in his pocket would have given Ashley a huge surge in respect from the jury that would have likely tipped the final vote in her favor.  With such a move being clearly of her strategic maneuvering, it would have given her a leg up on Grant as well, since Grant followed directions and voted against Natalie as Rob’s loyal cult soldier.

But, alas.  No big moves from anyone on Omatepe at any point in the season.  Not even one.  That’s impressive in a really sad sort of way.

PS:  After occasional thought over the past few months, the answer has come to me as to why Jeff Probst proclaimed this season to be one of the Top 5 Seasons Of All Time.  The answer is so obvious that it was easy to miss at first glance.  Clearly, Jeff’s top 5 picks are the 4 seasons Rob’s been a cast member (two of which included Russell) plus Russell’s first season on Samoa.

I’m not sure if you are being facetious, but I think Probst has been pretty consistent that his top two seasons are Borneo and Micronesia. Somewhere there is a ranking. EW maybe?

I think it damages his credibility (if he has any) when he says crap like “this is a top 5 season.” There is simply no way he thought that was true. It was straight Pagonging followed by four easy boots of the Ometepes at the bottom of the alliance. A good winner does not redeem like 8 consecutive boring episodes.

their 2 last chances were at 8 and the night they blindsided Grant, aka First Final 5.  Opportunities lost. 

 I can see that you’re getting heated, so I’ll take the high road, but you might want to think about putting a mirror in front of your TV and computer, perhaps that will curb your anger and bitterness towards reality show contestants. 

Rob, the Phillip & Natalie Podcast was almost a home run. It would have been that had we got more then 15 minutes. Natalie must really be getting hammered with negative feedback because Phillip tried to spin her as a 19 Year old genius ( nice try Phil!) & run cover for her as much as he could. A noble effort by Phil on her behalf but Natalie has to own her actions, when she learns how to do that the critical remarks go away-Mike
