Recapping Saturday Night Live from November

Listen to the Podcast

This week SNL finished it’s run of new shows for November with Jeremy Renner hosting for the first time. Rob and Rich Tackenberg from TheRich-Fix.com discuss what worked and didn’t work on this week’s show and the previous shows hosted by Anne Hathaway and Louis C.K. as well.

This week’s show featured many jokes that came at the expense of General Petreaus including the show’s cold open, second sketch and also discussed by Seth Meyers during weekend update. Much to the disappointment of Rich, The Californians returned to SNL for the second time this season. There was also a surprise cameo this week from New Jersey governor, Chris Christie.

Later Rob and Rich broke down last week’s show with Anne Hathaway and discussed the hits and misses. Surprisingly, there was a real lack of any iconic political sketches considering the election took place this month. Anne Hathaway also brought back her Katie Holmes impression which created a lot of controversy during her last hosting stint.

Then Rob and Rich broke down the show hosted by Louis C.K. which included the hilarious Lincoln / Louie parody. There was also plenty of material in the show from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Lastly, Rob and Rich previewed whats to come next as Jamie Foxx hosts the next new episode of Saturday Night Live.
