Recapping the return of Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake to SNL

Listen to the Podcast

Rob and Rich Tackenberg recap the latest episode of Saturday Night Live on December 21, hosted by Jimmy Fallon with musical guest, Justin Timberlake.

Coming to you live from Nicole Cesternino’s childhood bedroom (complete with a twin bed!), Rob Cesternino and Rich Tackenberg are back to recap the last Saturday Night Live of 2013 hosted by Jimmy Fallon. Rob and Rich go through this week’s episode and let you know what worked and what didn’t. Did Rob and Rich think this show was the best SNL of the year?

The Good

  • Rob and Rich both really liked the energy in the cold open.

  • Both Rich and Rob loved the specificity and originality of the (Do It On My) Twin Bed song.

  • Kate McKinnon’s Billie Jean King character on Weekend Update worked really well. Rob and Rich discuss if they think Billie Jean King will be a recurring guest or not.

The Bad

  • Madonna on the Barry Gibb Talk Show sketch was not funny. Why did Madonna have a grill?! Was that planned?

  • Chris Rock showed up at the end of SNL. Why was he there?

Rob and Rich look forward to the first SNL host and musical guest of 2014, Drake.

Bring it on down to RHAPping-Ville!
