Rob Cesternino and Nicole are back with another season of Survivor interviews with these years booted contestants. We kick this year off talking with Francesca Hogi, the first player voted out on Survivor Redemption Island and the first person to lose on Redemption Island. Francesca reveals her thought on playing with Boston Rob, Redemption Island and her new nickname for Phillip and the other players.

The audio on her end musta been a bit weird, because there were a couple times where I could have SWORN she called you Bob. But she’s far too smart for that. She really seems to know her stuff and I’m even sadder that she’s gone now. Could’ve been a great character. She’s what the concept of the Second Chance season was invented for, basically.

man o man… that sucks that she was eliminated so early. i know this is going to come across poorly and may be construed the wrong way, but my wife and i were talking baout it and we feel that SURVIVOR all too often casts women that are either dumb, crazy, or just there cuz they look great in a bikini…..its tough to find women contestants that articulate themselves so well, are smart AND funny…. contestants like Francesca are really great for the show…. its a shame we lost her already!

Hey-O, Thomas here, just wanted to drop a line and say that Amazon was a good season of SURV. the only detractor would be that we never found out who won the battle between the toucans, as they appeared in several episodes of that season fighting with their beaks

I have to agree with Steve being the “Silver Fox”. I hope we get to see a lot more of him!

Enough with the young surfer dudes and bikini babes. Survivor needs to remember that they have a fan base amongst the 40-65 crowd, too.

Once again, great interview Rob. If you get Russell on a podcast, can you ask him if he were to give future survivors tips for playing, what would they be? What life skills/experiences did he have that make him such a great strategist/manipulator?
