Big Brother 15: The Rise of Julie Chen & Spunk from Staten Island – 08/30/13

What a fun little night. Aaryn takes her first steps towards being eviscerated by the public. Julie Chen gunning for the prime time Emmy award was on her game tonight. She held it together pretty well, as I thought maybe she was going to go, Tom Cruise A Few Good Men on Aaryn and ask her if she ordered the “Code Red” on Private Santiago, with Aaryn screaming back “You can’t handle the truth!” Part of me felt a little sad for Aaryn, because when I was 21/22 years old I did and said a lot of stupid things to, for god sake, one weekend home from college I had a party at my Mom’s house and let one of my friends pick any bottle of wine from the wine collection, which of course led to a $1,200 bottle of wine that was purchased for my little brother, being saved for one of his landmark moments in life down the road,  being pounded down by two blacked out college kids that at that time normally drank the finest Carlos Rossi $2.98 bottle they could buy at Safeway. My point is that Aaryn said some horrible things and will probably be haunted by this for the rest of her life, hopefully she can learn from this and it will help her mature…www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3rhQc666Sg

Another highlight was Julie asking Amanda why she acted like a psychotic, unlikable, bull in the china shop, bully, crazy ass, entitled, up towards Elissa. Julie was basically trying to spell out to Amanda that she has been coming off like someone who is about to fall into the golden geese garbage chute followed up with Oompa loompa’s singing a life lesson song about being an entitled brat. Overall, a big win for CBS, other than its horrendous new cop show previews for this season, which always seem to revolve around a sassy woman that is smoking hot, with a $10,000 wardrobe and a hair stylist, with a deceased father, who was the top cop of his time and to top it off she has the ability to recall in detail every day from her whole life. Seriously why don’t they just give up with these new ideas and bring back Jake and The Fatman or Moonlighting as I would guess all the actors involved from those shows are “available” right now, specially Bruce Willis, since he just got fired from the new Sly Stallone movie, where for five days of work he wanted a million dollars a day! (no joke)

Let’s not get sidetracked though, let’s move on to this upcoming week, which from this point on will be Spoiler-ish.

  • Ginamarie wins HOH! Ginamarie out of nowhere has excelled in the most random competitions from time to time this season. If nothing else Ginamarie has been spunky, and with Nick in her heart, Ginamarie has just won the most pivotal HOH comp of this season. Aaryn, allegedly the past two days has been coaching her how to play if she got HOH and told her to go after Mccrae/Amanda. Ginamarie taking out Amanda would be the biggest feather in anybody’s cap this year. Ginamarie does not seem to fear Amanda, which should make for an interesting week because Amanda isn’t exactly “stable” when she thinks she is going up. If Amanda starts acting like she did with Elissa, Ginamarie might do a prison style shanking of her. As long as Ginamarie doesn’t get talked out of going through with nominating Amanda/Mccrae then this should be the most interesting week of this season with Ginamarie as the catalyst.
  • Amanda’s date with the jury house may finally be upon us. We know that Amanda will not take this laying down, as she will make the whole house re think their belief in humanity if she has to. Does Amanda have a move here? If the whispers are correct and Amanda and Mccrae are going up on the block, what can Amanda do other than win POV? Amanda needs help from Spencer, Judd and Andy, which maybe she can get from one of them, but no way in hell all three will work to save her. On a positive note, Amanda if evicted this week may make a serious run at the “biggest bitter jury member” of all time award, currently held by Frank Eudy from last year’s Big Brother finale.

e28-mccrae Still hasn’t recovered fully from being neutered in week one.[/caption]

  • Mccrae who still hasn’t recovered fully from being neutered in week one, which is understandable as the recovery time, can be unpredictable on these things, is facing a tough scenario. Will he turn on Amanda and lobby against her to stay in this game? Mccrae may actually be in a better spot in this game if he can survive and Amanda goes this week. I think Mccrae will be left for dead, but then can potentially slide under the radar the following week.  Maybe he can start acting like a man again? Mccrae’s future is cloudy at this point, but maybe it will be more clear by Monday.
  • Andy, give the ginger snake some credit, he looks like he has rebounded pretty well after a questionable past two weeks. I think Andy could potentially be in danger if Mccrae/Amanda win POV, as he seems like he might be the most likely to be put up as a replacement nominee. Even if that happens it’s hard to see Andy going home this week.   The interesting dynamic to watch is the threesome of Andy, Spencer and Judd. What is the hierarchy there? Andy needs to turn on Amanda and turn hard and fast. He needs to literally acquire Jason Voorhees machete and figuratively stick that bad boy in her back over the next few days.
  •  Judd is in the best spot in the house again. The prodigal son and America’s favorite player this season has risen from the ashes of the Jury house and is ready to take on Bane Amanda. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BNW2By7ppo

Kudos to Judd for how he has played the past two weeks, but he also has benefited from Elissa winning HOH and now Ginamarie. Every winner of Big Brother needs some luck on their side at some point, so Judd has caught a lucky break or two, but now he has capitalized on those lucky breaks and hopefully will help Ginamarie push Amanda off the ledge.

Fairly safe moving forward.

  • Spencer has somehow; some way bobbed and weaved his way from absolute peril to being fairly safe moving forward. Spencer, if he can continue to join forces with Andy and Judd will be in a real good place from here on out. Spencer deserves some serious props for making it to this point as he really had his game blown up the second week of this season, but was able to play a good social game to keep himself in the house from that point on.
  • Elissa took a big swing this week. She didn’t get Amanda out, but she got a pretty big target out of the house still. Elissa deserves a stress-free week after having to deal with a severely mentally ill person verbally attacking her all week. Let’s just let her rest and move on to the last paragraph of this blog.

So here we are, Amanda and McCrae on trial for their war crimes this season. The odds at the Reno Hilton  are 2/1 that Amanda gets nominated, has a mental breakdown and….oh wait I have a clip of the live feeds, I guess Amanda was just told she is going up on the  block this week, let’s see how she is taking it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSxuXQCEC7M

I think in week three I stated that I thought Spencer, Andy and Judd should work together and I think after a couple major detours that we are just about their. That threesome could take over the game from this point forward, so it’s something to watch for this week. No matter what happens this week should be fun to watch! Ginamarie has taking a lot of crap this season, but the perception of her can be seriously upgraded if she can be the one to pull the trigger on 86’ing Amanda.
